How to Vote in Loimu’s Elections?

  • Visit the voting aid application:
    www.loimu.fi/vaalikone
  • Click to access the voting system:
    www.sahkoinenvaali.fi/loimu
  • Authenticate using your online banking credentials.
  • The candidates will be displayed on the screen, one group at a time. By clicking on a group name, you will see the candidates listed in numerical order.
  • Search for and select your candidate.
  • Confirm your selection according to the instructions on the page. If you cancel your selection at this stage, or if the voting process is interrupted before you confirm your choice, you can log in to the system again before the voting period ends, until your selection is confirmed and your vote is registered.
  • You can vote until Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at 11:59 PM.


In Loimu’s elections, it is only possible to vote electronically. If you do not have a computer at home or at work, you can vote, for example, at a library.

If you are unable to use another location for electronic voting or do not have online banking credentials, you can arrange to vote at Loimu’s office. The time for voting at the office must be agreed upon in advance by calling Loimu’s switchboard at tel. 09 6226 850. The switchboard is open Monday to Thursday from 10 AM to 2 PM.

Who Can Vote in the Elections?

Eligible voters in Loimu’s council elections are Full, Student, StudentPlus-members, and Senior members who have joined Loimu by July 31, 2024. You can verify your voting eligibility by logging into OmaLoimu and checking your details.
