If you join Loimu as a student and continue as a member until your graduation, you pay the student membership fee for your graduation year and get 50 per cent off the following year’s membership fee.

Unemployment benefit
Through Loimu, the members – also student members – can join the Unemployment Fund for Higher Educated Employees Erko As an unemployment fund member, you are entitled to earnings-related unemployment benefit when you are laid off or unemployed if the membership condition and work requirement are fulfilled. The earnings-related unemployment benefit is based on your earnings, which means that it is considerably higher than benefits granted by Kela.

We follow salary development yearly through surveys and give recommendation based on results.
Salary advice
You should always find out the salary level when applying for a new job. We will help you ask for a salary that corresponds to your skills and experience before you sign the employment contract. On the basis of our own surveys and available statistics information, we can advise our members in salary issues and salary development in different work tasks.
